Your notes were entertaining and informative. I feel the same about stopping to write in the middle of a scene so what I do is I print out the text (really small font front and back) and write thoughts directly on it as I read. It works as a pretty nice happy medium for those of us that aren't big fans of active reading notes, but still understand the value of them.
